This photo was taken in Monument Valley near the Utah, Arizona border, on yhr Navajo Nation Reservation. The photo is of a bride we were shooting with the wedding company I work for.Time
This is mid-day around 3 Pm, the couple requested a time before and during sunset.Lighting
Monument Valley seemed pretty well lit during this time, no flashes or accessories were needed during this time.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS-6D camera, free hand shot.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this picture because the bride was very photogenic and the rock formation behind her was so beautiful. I believed it contrasted with one another the white bouncing off of the red of Monument Valley is Spires, plus I noticed the moon in the background.Editing
Post processing, yes I did I like to edit with Lightroom I enhance the exposure a little I increase the contrast the saturation I moved up by .05 not very much editing made it to be done with this photo very natural out of the camera.In my camera bag
In my bag I normally carry a charger a battery an extra battery a flash and 3 lenses 1 wide 1 long length and one standard 50 mm.Feedback
In terms of advice one of my favorite quotes is to capture the unexpected. As I usually don't stage photos when going through a photoshoot I believed the colors in the background contrast it very well with the white dress for the bride. Always be prepared to find the unexpected and keep an eye out for beautiful colors that are in nature.
