Location
Tulipe Festival in Ottawa is always a great time to take pictures of tulipes as they are all around the place in both side of the river. Lake Dow, along Canal Rideau and Ruisseau de la brasserie (Gatineau) offers a lot to photographer.Time
For early birds photographer or rainy days because the places fill up fast of family and tourist who want to enjoy the first spring colors.Lighting
The natural light of the sun may bring some challenge to get the right angle as many tulipes bunches are protected.Equipment
These pictures were probablement taken with my Nikon D800 or my D850 mounted with the macro 105mm.Inspiration
Getting 3 of a kind wasn't easy as there are crowded. I finally found some more isolated.Editing
Wanting to show some more of the elegant and feminine lines and the war to winter that those plants engage every years, I have post-process the picture with Fractalius tool.In my camera bag
Actually I always have my Nikon D850 in my bag with the Nikon 24-120 which is versatile. I will often bring my macro lens and some ND and polarise filters. My Manfrotto Tripod is an asset.Feedback
On the knees most of the time, you may need something to protect yourself from the mud on rainy days.
