I met this little fellow on a hike along the Yarra River just above the Dights Falls on the south side of the river, where there are no paths. He was quite interested at first and did not even run. He just sat there for several minutes looking at me, unblinking. I would say it could be a younger specimen of the Australian Water Dragon (Intellegama lesueurii), since it was in the Melbourne area possibly the subspecies Itellagama lesueurii howittii ?
