Even though the moon was overhead you can still see the huge number of stars in the area surrounding Crux. You can see Crux itself, the Coalsack (Dark) Nebula, and also the Jewel Box (NGC 4755) makes an appearance showing as a tiny cluster just above Mimosa.

Sunrise over the Port Pirie river.

We were walking along the waterfront watching the dolphins, and just happened to catch the sunset that was happening behind us.

Sadly this section of wharf is no longer used as the grain isn't transported by ship from here.

One of the many ruins dotted around this area.

I was walking along one of the walking trails at a nearby reservoir and spotted this galah having a sleep in the breeze.

My second attempt at a night shot of the grain silos.

This was taken about an hour and a half before sunrise from my driveway (again). I know it's not perfectly in focus but I still kind of like it.
