Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot at the roof deck of my office building in the heart of Manila.

Time

This was taken around 7 pm or past as you can see in the tower clock of the Manila City Hall.

Lighting

I wanted to register this view permanently so I can watch it anytime of the day without going to our roof deck. I will frame and mount it against my bedroom wall.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D90 with the Nikkor 55-300mm lens, No flash, no tripod, I just leaned my hands against the building's parapet wall.

Inspiration

I used to go to the roof deck of my office building to unwind. There I find peace watching the beautiful lights all around the city that seemed so awake and never sleep. The beautiful night view makes me feel hopeful of the country's good future.

Editing

Yes, because I need to generally brighten the view by adjusting the exposure. I'm not good yet in LR.

In my camera bag

A Nikon D90 and D7100. Lenses, Sigma 18-250mm, Nikon 55-300mm.

Feedback

There's always been something good around you that you can capture. A good view or situation that would speaks or tell a story as a photograph. Just try to feel the thing, explore and understand what the picture would says. And shoot all the good angles.
