His eyes are very dark . . . somewhat unusual for a raptor maybe (?) Thanks so much for the accolades, Michael! ッ

He IS a cutie, isn't he? Wish I knew what species of bird he is . . . I always try to identify animals & plants in my images when I can. ッ

Well, Mr. C, I do believe he was part of a "bird show" at the ABQ Zoo . . . many years ago. But thanks for the kudos, my friend! ッ

I’m thinking possibly an Osprey chick?? However most bird babies don’t look like the adults so it’s anybody’s guess ....But definitely a raptor

Yes, definitely a raptor . . . I just googled "osprey chick" and they have that characteristic dark stripe across their eyes from a very young age . . . so I don't think this is an osprey. But thanks for the suggestion, my friend! ッ

I have used two bird ID programs on my iphone and neither id'ed it. The problem is a chick can change as it matures 180' from the looks as a chick. Coots start out orange.. then turn gray then black. Bald eagles can be brown and look like a golden then get the markings. So I might be with rkrings on put my money on a Falcon...
