Location
The photo was taken one beautiful morning in spring, from the balcony of our apartment in Maliy Mayak, Crimea. Windows face east and, thanks to the height (the house is situated 250m over the sea level), one can see an incredible sunrise everyday. That time there were low clouds, covering all the Black sea till the horizon, so I just took my favourite Pentax K-5 and made an exposure.Time
It was early in the morning, approximately 6.00AMLighting
It was nothing about the lighting but the natural light if the Sun.Equipment
I used Pentax K-5 with SMC-Pentax FA 28-105 IF&AL lens.Inspiration
Everything in the nature of my homeland - the Crimean Peninsula, inspires me to take such pictures...Editing
Only pushing shadows in Lightroom, small improvement in contrast and exposure (I usually underexpose images like this one to preserve details in highlights)In my camera bag
I'm an amateur photographer, so I value the Pentax cameras ability to work with the old, manual and autofocus film lenses, which are inexpensive, yet they provide excellent image quality. So, in my bag, alongside my Pentax K-5 and 28-105 zoom lens, there are several manual primes: SMC-Pentax M 28mm F/2.8, SMC-Pentax M 50mm F/1.4 and Takumar-bayonet 135mm F/2.5. Also there are small tripod, additional battery and remote control.Feedback
You just have to be in the right place and (which is much more important) in the right time. An appropriate angle and strength of rays of the Sun is the key to everything.
