the photo was taken in my hometown Allahabad,India. i am self-taught photographer. i love picture with stories such as this because i learned too much from my pictures.Time
i took this picture while the night visit(around 8 pm) to the Sangam area,where the largest human gathering for religious purpose in the world happens, in the extremely cold weather condition possible. i still remember the harsh winter wind that is challenging me.Lighting
the whole Sangam area was covered with LED lights that lit up the area. because of over lighting i started looking for the less light to add drama in the picture. after walking 1 km i found reflection of lights in Gange river so i decided to capture my story there. after waiting for my subject i found 3 people boating on a boat. so ,tried and got this beautiful picture.Equipment
this was shot on canon 700d with canon 50mm f1.8 stm. no other equipment was used.Inspiration
i was always looking for the magical moments. i was inspired by a Viewbug member picture. it was my first day on viewbug. as being the first day i am so curious to see the all wonderful pictures that are so eye-catchy.Editing
yes! i did post-processing. as there was much lights,i tried to decrease the light and increase the black points.In my camera bag
the first thing i always pack-up is my canon 50mm f.1.8.STM . even a monkey can take beautiful picture with that stuuning lens. i also carry A wide and A tele-lens respectively that is 18-55 and 55-250. and the most important i carry my street camera that is Sony WX350.Feedback
this is not rocket science. just cautious about camera setting. and look good works so you ca create good work. it is good to Visit the View bug app many times a day. after doing this i increased my story telling and composition in photography.
