Location
At a studio in Glasgow called The Gray Rooms, unfortunately it has just closed its doorsTime
Early afternoonLighting
When I arrived at the studio the previous photographer had been using all the great lights that were there so the blinds were all down. Both myself and Em decided to open them up and use the natural light coming in the great windows as it was a light enough day and not too bright as there was plenty of cloud cover. The whole 3 hour shoot i did not use any of the lights in the studio as the available light was so goodEquipment
Nikon 7100 and the Nikkor 40mm f2.8 lens. Settings were 1/25th of a second shutter speed, iso 100 and f6.3Inspiration
When i saw the deep window ledge on my recon trip the day before i thought it would make a great space for Em to pose on and would be great for nude or semi nude photoEditing
Just cropped in and used a b&w preset in Lightroom and adjusted it to my likingIn my camera bag

If you can go on as many studio days put on by models, just like i did with Em. You will not only get the wide range of pro lights and backgrounds but also usually help from the studio owner and even more importantly help from the model who more than likely is a great photographer themselves
