I captured this image of my finance's hands against the carpet in his room. Something about that image and knowing the hard hours he put in every single day as a maximum security prison guard and the contrast of his somewhat dirty carpet spoke to me. This beautiful hard working man laid his hands and his life out before me to show me he may not always have the cleanest place or even the best of things, but his hands alone showed me how very hard he would always work for what he had and for us and the boys.
