A narrowboat moored on the River Thames at Reading, Berkshire. This scene was captured just below Caversham bridge. In the distance can be seen De Montfort Island, site of a historic medieval duel and beyond that Reading Bridge constructed in 1923. On a calm early spring afternoon a pair of swans swim sedately upstream past the moored boats in search of food. The Thames Path on the right is making its way from Kemble in Gloucestershire to the Thames Barrier in London.
