Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in SeaWorld, Florida. It is a rescued, captive bird. It cant fend or hunt for food, so was taken in and used as a show bird.

Time

It was taken about mid afternoon during a show session. They like to bring them out to show people about these owls and their habitat so as people can learn about wildlife and problems that they have in the wild because of their habitat being ruined by cutting down trees and the like.

Lighting

Natural light was used. They don't like you using flash.

Equipment

I used a Fuji finepix HS50 bridge camera.

Inspiration

I love taking shots of wildlife and took this as I doubt I would ever see one in the wild.

Editing

Only post processing I did was sharpening and cropping.

In my camera bag

I now use a Nikon camera and multiple lenses so don't use the Fuji anymore.

Feedback

Practise, practise and practise again. There is no film to ruin, so wont cost a thing except time.
