Hiking to Everest base camp. The weather wasn't so good on the way up, clouds were constantly blocking my view, which made the climb more difficult, high altitude, freezing temperatures, a chest infection slowly creeping in.
I'd just hiked up one of the more difficult inclines, switchback after switchback when I saw a solo hiker wandering along at the same moment the clouds were clearing.
I dropped everything to quickly snatch my zoom lens out of my bag, exhaustion forgotten, hacking cough ignored, excitement mounting to momentous proportions as I snapped this unforgettable images.
