Hi Rachel - it has been extremely hot. I think Echuca/Moama was the hottest in the State last week. This week coming will be back up into the low to mid 40's again - can't wait for the cool :)

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. We got to him before he climbed up to the bird bath - I was afraid he would pull it over on top of himself, so we put a water sprinkler near him, and he lapped the water before heading back to his hole in the tree. Poor guy!!

Holy Cow Chris, this is in your yard? Poor thing! Its that Hot. I have seen birds in the hot summer months , just sit o our bird baths trying to cool down, but we don't have Goanna's!

Thanks so much Laura - I have left a few responses, but don't know where they go. But we ended up leaving our water sprinkler for him to lap the water from, then he took off. Even the bees were sitting around the water in the bird bath that day.
