Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a small pond at a local school where my daughter had swim practice on a regular basis. It never looked this good or colorful until this one afternoon and the light hit the water perfectly and I was fortunate to capture this.

Time

This was taken around 7:00am - swim practice starts early and I always bring my camera bag “just in case” something cool pops up.

Lighting

All natural lighting - from the great outdoors

Equipment

Sony a6000 w/24-240 lens, handheld. ISO 100 @ 1/400s

Inspiration

The combo of the red bridge and the pink flowers played so well off the reflection and brown tones in the trees

Editing

I don’t do much, if any post processing. I believe this was cropped a bit and I used the auto-enhance feature on my iPhotos app.

In my camera bag

I usually have my complete kit- Sony a6600 body and the do-it-all 24-240 lens mounted. I also carry the following Sony lenses- 90mm goss macro 50mm 1.8 10-18mm ultra wide Vanguard veo carbon tripod Charger & 3 batteries

Feedback

Be patient and always be looking for scenes.. sometimes you get lucky exploring unknown areas…
