Lightning over Kingscliff Tafe

After staying up talking to my amazing love of my life on my phone for 4hrs, I heard the sound of thunder in the distance, I knew I had a full SD card of photo's so I quickly had to transfer them then rush over the fence before this cell hit, Unfortunately I missed a awesome shot dashing to the can machine just 30mtrs away before the cell hit, I was hit my torrential rain and heavy winds causing the camera to fall over during a shot missing another amazing bolt, after setting up the camera adjusting the timer and clicking the button down the 10 second timer ticked away before it started capturing the 15 second exposure, I was lucky to manage to capture this as the camera finished the exposure about 0.38 Mili seconds after. I was surprised at how well the shot turned out using a cheapo $15 tripod picked up from the tip and nothing more then just the camera's count down timer, shortly after it died down to just a few flashes amongst the cloudes.
