Historic Ft. King way point between Jacksonville and Tampa. The fort has been recreated on the site of the original fort. There was a hand drawn image of the original that was found in government archives. This is inside one of two watch towers. There is a artesian seep for fresh water a hundred yards or so east of the fort. It was a site for trading amongst the Seminoles. It was also the site of conflict with the Seminoles when the declaration came to relocate the native Americans westward.
