This pine tree immediately caught my attention because it stands out from the rest.

In a mexican park I came across this dragonfly who didn't even react. So I took my camera out and had to improvise with my lens to take the macro

I've had the colour version of this image for a long time, but since I moved to a better image editor, I could recover quite good this hazy scene

While walking I noticed that this two dogs followed me with their sight, and since they are pretty similar, I decided to frame them both so.

I had to do the same trick inverting the lens, perhaps it is time to buy a dedicated macro lens.

Revolution Monument in Mexico City is a well photographed location, but not in Infrared.

Although it is quite hard for me to go out and shoot, this photo proves that one doesn't need to go far away to take great pictures.

Wild flowers are underrated. They can be extremely beautiful if a little small, but with a macro lens, every small flower comes to life.

Ther is a park in Hannover with many animals, so I wanted to capture the Deers with the Tree, to add interest.

Sticherus is a fern that I found during a trip through the rainforest.

I love ferns of all kinds, even the common ones, and having the blue sky reflecting on the water made this a good photo.

Rain and sunshine combined to create this scene.

Cloud over two hills with the sun illuminating just caught my eye.

Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken outside a building that had many cherry blossoms. There were many bees around.

Time

About five in the afternoon in the spring so the cherry trees were in full bloom.

Lighting

The light was specially soft and there was reflected light from a building to not create too dark shadows.

Equipment

My trusty Nikon D7100 and a reversed 50mm to gain macro capabilities.

Inspiration

The colours of the flowers and the bees made some very nice compositions.

Editing

Just some light cropping, and contrast adjustments.

In my camera bag

My Digital camera with a zoom lens and my film camera with the 50mm. The lenses are interchangeable so I can swap them easily between the two cameras.

Feedback

Look for nice colours and an interesting subject to draw attention. If you have to wait for softer or golden light, do so; it is worth it.
