Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the local railroad station close to where I live. It's a local translation with 3 tracks.

Time

The photo was made during a winter evening, that's why everything looks like it's at night.

Lighting

To light my nephew's back I used one of the lampposts.

Equipment

At the time I didn't have a full frame dslr (I do now). I used a canon 750D with 18-135 for this photo.

Inspiration

News from that period kept being really bad so I was thinking of making a "depressed looking" photo.

Editing

I changed it to black & white in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Nowadays, I mostly do landscapes. At the moment the contents of my bag consist of: Nikon Z6, Nikon 24-70 Z, Nikon 105 2.8 and Hasselblad 903SWC.

Feedback

I would not recommend, shooting at a train track is very dangerous. Take your precautions and only do this if you perfectly now when a train is coming.
