Meeting up with a local photographer friend to get into and be able to shoot within a South African township has to be a highlight of my trip to Africa. The people I met through this short sojourn were incredible - warm, welcoming and proud - and so giving whilst they have so little. This shot - of a small boy playing with his toy (a milk carton with bottle cap wheels on a string) for me captured the optimism of the people and a hope for a brighter and better future whilst making the most of what they have now.
