Having the opportunity to live in Germany for a few years, every advantage to explore the country was taken. On a day trip to Nuremberg, I walked past this church, and could not pass up the chance to capture such detail, history and beauty.Time
Wrapping up our afternoon adventure, and headed back to the train station, this was definitely a treasure to stumble upon! It was in the moment where everything perfect timing.Lighting
There was a storm moving in, so there was not too much sunlight left before the clouds took over completely. I feel that I came to this spot, at just the right time. Even with some cloud cover, the lighting was absolutely perfect, not too bright and not too dark. The clouds added a great touch. Also, with it being afternoon into evening time, the sun was just in the perfect position.Equipment
With this being a spur-of-the-moment day trip, I did not have time to prepare. This picture was taken with my iPhone 6s. Aperture f/2.2, ISO 25, shutter 1/1304 and focal length 4.15/1.Inspiration
I love this kind of architecture, it holds so much history. Standing where history once stood, is an absolute overwhelming feeling. The colors, the style and scenery around the church, just caught my eye. Like they say, "if these walls could talk, I wonder what secrets they'd tell." -Gayle FormanEditing
When post-processing, I look for any blemishes that may need fixed (most times there is not). I may crop out excess that does not look like it fits the picture. I also fix the lighting if there is too much or not enough natural light. Also, correcting the color, is a must. The camera may capture the basics of what you saw, however, it does not always capture the colors and definition that you saw with your own eyes.In my camera bag
On a spur of the moment trip or something just completely unplanned, I normally only have my iPhone 11, and a backup charger. But, when I do prepare, I take my Canon EOS Rebel T5.Feedback
Just capture what you see. If you think your photograph is stunning, then it is. Everyone sees something different. Capture that moment, but if you're not happy with what you have, recapture it until you feel you have that winning photo.
