Several orange-winged butterflies stood motionless in a papaya tree, avoiding the burning rays of the sun and quietly drinking the few drops of dew around them. As I approached, I noticed many chrysalises left empty and hanging near them - they were at the very start of this new and fabulous stage of their lives; and as I drew closer, they remained impassible to my presence. I couldn't figure whether they were still blind from their newly acquired senses, or whether their wings were still too fragile to carry them with the wind.
