This portrait won't win any prizes but it was my first and I always considered it my best. I don't do portraits. It was taken by film and has lost some definition in digital translation. However in film it was beautiful. It was taken in the sunken garden at Butchart Gardens. The lighting was diffused and with the pink goats beard behind my Mother's pink shirt and the red bench the colors were stunning. I even managed to get her big black purse away from her for the picture.
