Great capture. Thanks for the following
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken right off solidarity drive in Chicago’ Museum campus.

Time

This was a mid afternoon shot around 2-3pm

Lighting

This is an HDR photo, 3 shots bracket -1, 0, +1 ev.

Equipment

Nikon D500, 16-80mm f2.8-f4, was a handheld shot

Inspiration

Great leading lines in this picture and I love Chicago’s skyline.

Editing

Yes used HDR photo max software and chose the pre-set that appealed me the most

In my camera bag

D500 with a normal walk around lens, 50mm prime, wide angle, and a telephoto.

Feedback

Take the time to actually think about the shot. Do some research on the area before you just grab your camera and start clicking away. I use google maps a lot on street view to scout locations without having to just drive there and check it out. Also while planning go with a purpose of what you want to capture and focus on that. Oh and check the weather before you leave.
