Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my home, in the guest bedroom.

Time

It was in the afternoon I think.

Lighting

This was shot with a 90 cm oktabox on left side from above and a small ringflash for the backside of the model.

Equipment

The camera was a Canon EOS 6D with a 85 mm prime lens.

Inspiration

Not easy to say. Photographers always shoot what they like to see, I think. So this was my intention. I like this look, so I wanted to create memorable images in this style. By the way this was my seconds modelshooting ever, it was also to practice in portrait and people photography.

Editing

I do post processing with photo shop. I soften the picture a bit, some desaturation an I added the shining light. Of course I did some retouching and classical beauty processing on the models skin.

In my camera bag

Because of that I shoot in different genres it depends on what to shoot on this day. It varies from a camera with a portait lens to a camera with a wide angle lens. I also shoot on cemeteries with a 400 mm Tele Prime lens, this is unique I think, but it allows a view from a respectful distance.

Feedback

Just take your gear and practice. If you want to shoot something special, share a workshop or read and watch "good" tutorials and then practice. If you got a talent, it will work well after a while.
