Location
This photo was taken right in my office. Just used an observation mattress and some folded cover paper and that was it.Time
I work two floors below ground level and the time of day is almost always irrelevant, so it could have been morning, afternoon or evening.Lighting
Just used the ceiling fluorescent lighting rflected on the light blue walls, wich helped ro give some outdoor effect.Equipment
I used my trusted Canon G10, that I bough second hand and that I carry with me all the time. Didn't have any tripod with me so I just layed my hands on the matress and took several images to get the right one.Inspiration
This photo was the third of a 365 project I started on January 1st. In this kind of project, wich I strongly recommend to any serious wannabe photographer, you have to be allways looking for something interesting to photograph or make your oportunities. I had this little souvenir boat from Nice and just needed some waves. The paper in this case did the trick.Editing
I usually take all my photos in RAW format wich gives so much space to work in post. Most of the times, as in this photo, I make some exposure and color corrections and then cropping, sharpening and noise reduction, and that's it.In my camera bag
The Canon G10 is with me all the time during te working days, because it is rather light and gives lots of latitude selecting the shoot modes, although I normally shoot manual. On the weekends I go wild with a Canon 6D wich is superb in low light conditions (I work with a dancing group and they do most of their shows indoors) coupled with Canon lenses: 17-40mm f/4L, a 24-105mm f/4L and 50mm f/1.8 and a couple of polarizing and ND filters.Feedback
I would recommend creating an image in your mind and then pick up whatever you have at hand and recreate it like you were playing with Lego(TM).
