I created this monochrome wildlife photograph of a Great Blue Heron with a large snake at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk county Florida. The Circle Bar is the one place in Florida where I know that it is nearly guaranteed to see a lot of different wildlife. The Great Blue Heron is a common bird there, but seeing one with a snake is kind of rare and presents unique opportunities to create a wildlife photograph that is memorable. I was fortunate enough to get a number of monochrome wildlife photographs of this Great Blue Heron before the Snake went down the throat of the bird.
