I was lucky enough to have my 100-400 mm with me at the time… sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good

Caught a quick shot of this beautiful Toucan while we were on holidays in Costa RicaTime
It was early morning on our way to breakfast at the Borinquen Mountain Resort & Spa - Rincon de la Vieja. Located in the Guanacaste in the North Pacific Region of Costa Rica T3i when we spotted the beautiful specimen.Lighting
The resort we were staying at was very secluded since it was on an eco tour in the Costa Rican jungle where we witnessed all kinds of wild animals in their natural habitat.Equipment
Cannon T3i with a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L hand held paired with speedlite 430EXInspiration
The beautiful Costa Rican country side is the perfect place for any photographer wanting to explore your numerous optionsEditing
at the time i did not have the equipment i have now (EOS R & 70 D ) and lightroomIn my camera bag
several bodies ( Cannon T3i Cannon 70 D Cannon R ) Numerous lens tripods, mono pods, various cleaning suppliesFeedback
You don't always need the best equipment to capture great phots like in this case it was an average Cannon body T3i with great glass 100-400mm .Be patient be quiet and wait for the opportunity to present it self and most of all have fun...that's what its all about enjoying the best nature has to offer ..sometimes its better to be lucky than good..
