I was visiting my mom at her farm in Guapiles, Costa Rica. This place is close to the Caribbean sea so it rains a lot and the skies are usually cloudy. It is also very far away from any city or town so there is very little light pollution. I was fortunate enough to be there on this night when the skies cleared for a while. I love staring at the stars for hours and by pure chance, I looked up and noticed the Milky Way was visible. I got very excited and took a bunch of photos and this is the best one from that series. My camera is not the best for night sky photography but I was really happy after taking my first (of what I hope are many) successful Milky Way photo. That's me sitting on a bench staring at the sky :)
