Location
This photo was taken at the MGV in Melbourne,Australia. I thought it was a stunning composition of bold and striking sculptures.Time
This was taken mid morning and the dappled light was the perfect backdrop to take this shot. There is a play of light across the sculptures.Lighting
I just enjoyed the natural lighting here which made for a great composition.Equipment
Just my Nikon camera. Surprisingly no tripod,or flash needed this time.Inspiration
I was in awe of the sheer size of this installation. It was floor to ceiling height and natural light filtered in from the glass panelling above.Editing
No filters or post production here. Raw and unedited. I do use photoshop when I think my capture might need a little tweak. I prefer to capture the light at its best and use that to enhance and take the best shots. In my camera bag
Spare memory card and a fully charged battery before I head out to shoot and capture what I find interesting around me.Feedback
Start by going somewhere that you know there will be interesting subjects, such as Art Galleries ,Museums and other areas of interest like special gardens with flowers and trees. I personally love the water and like to visit the beach when the lighting has some special qualities. Early morning and in the evening as the sun is about to set. Take your camera everywhere with you.
