This capture was a more technical one in itself. My location was explored earlier but because I'm always dealing with clarity its a struggle to bring both subject and conditions together while shooting in the open ocean. This is not done with scuba tanks purely holding your breath and swimming close to your model. It's important to have a model that can look natural underwater while holding her breath. Before a open water shoot I tell the model to practice in front of a mirror while holding her breath to create a natural look. This way she can see what to do once in the water.
It's very difficult to do poses in water not to mention expression!
