Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken at wellington airport, the flax plant used to be part of a private garden but the house has been removed.Time
It was taken at 11amLighting
The day was very cloudy and dark, a rainstorm had just passed over and as the light changed briefly I managed to get a few shots.Equipment
Canon 7dII with a 100-400mm lens. No flash or tripod.Inspiration
I am always looking for different subjects and this snail happened to come out into the open. I took a number of shots but this was the most interesting pose.Editing
A crop and a bit of colour management - I shoot in RAWIn my camera bag
That would depend on what I was going to shoot on the day!Feedback
Keep your eyes open, look for the smaller "common" things in life that you would not normally consider. I was out shooting aircraft and while there was nothing going on looked for other options, this snail was one of them.
