Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a bright afternoon in a small town in Veracruz, Mexico, called Chalcomulco.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon approximately at five in the afternoonon June 10th, 2017. We were walking around town getting introduced to the people and taking in the scenery.

Lighting

The sun was the only source of light that was used in this photo. I loved how the color of the orange dirt looked and the contrast it had with the shoes.

Equipment

Since I am an amateur photographer I used what was at my disposal at the time which was my J7 Samsung Galaxy phone camara.

Inspiration

Me and my sister were touring the small town and the heat was intense so I would look down and took the opportunity to take this shot. The dirt was a nice color and like I said before, I liked how the shoes contrasted to the background.

Editing

Yes I did, I downloaded the photo to the VSCO app and increased the saturation and sharpened it and experimented to finally obtain the final product.

In my camera bag

I enjoy taking videos during my free time so I use my GoPro Hero 8 to take the videos bit once in awhile I also use it to take photos. With the GoPro I also use some accessories such as a stand.

Feedback

Having a vision is important because that is what will make you stand out. Try to find what you think will be amazing that way it looks different and not the same as others' shots.
