No matter where you go in the Khumbu it seems like Ama Dablam is there - watching over you. Ama Dablam means 'mother's necklace'. While this is aptly named more for the ice that runs between its two peaks it could also apply to a mother looking over the trekkers and Nepalis that hike along the well-worn trails in the Khumbu every day.
