This was the fourth bridge built at this site,on US 12 just west of Mottville, Michigan, starting from 1833. A fifth bridge was built downstream in 1990 and this bridge was closed to vehicular traffic but kept open as an historic structure. The river underneath is presenly flooding (Feb 24-2018)
