The Canberra was built in 1912 and in1944 became a pioneer of tourist boats on the river. The flag she is flying is the Murray Flag.The earliest reference to the Murray flag seems to be that it was used to honour the first Paddle Steamer to go into service on the Murray River in 1853 the Mary Ann.It is still used on the Murray River.
