Absolutely beautiful
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

A small wetland research area near Ohio State University and the Olentangy River.

Time

Late afternoon

Lighting

This area is an open field of wild flowers amongst wooded paths, allowing great natural light.

Equipment

Canon t6i, and I simply can't recall the lens used

Inspiration

The beautiful field of wild flowers was a stunning view, coupled with the pollinating insects (just around the time concern really began ramping up around bees being killed by human activity)

Editing

100% Edit to darken shadows and vibrancy increase for color pop

In my camera bag

Camera (6D MII), Sigma 20mm, Canon 24-70 MII, Peak Design clip, tripod, ND filter(s), DJI Mavic Pro, water and a snack!

Feedback

Continue exploring and be where you are. This sounds simple, butt I'll elaborate. Go to new places and continue looking at places you love - but focus on where you are. Don't always go in with a set idea beforehand if you're not going into a studio or controlled environment. Learn to work with the surroundings you're given and even basic scenes can turn beautiful.
