Location
I took this snap in my mums garden as it was early November and the only flower present.Time
It was early morning, around 10am that's why the water droplets are still present from the morning mist.Lighting
The lighting was quite neutral as it was overcast with light grey clouds.Equipment
I used the only equipment I had to hand which was my phone, I may have put the flash on but cant be 100%sure.Inspiration
My inspiration was one of remembrance, as the morning I took it was the day of my fathers funeral. I thought it strange for a rose to be blooming so late in the year and I took it as a sign from him that even in the darkest of times such as death, life still goes on. As one of his favourite quotes when we would be experiencing hardships was "these days will ware away".Editing
Yes, in fact this is the first image I ever done any real post-processing on. The only tools for editing where those I had on my phone. I think I raised the contrast and lowered the exposure, perhaps did something with the brightness also.In my camera bag
I have sony cyber shot, have it now about 15 years and intends to upgrade once I can afford it, but no doubt I will always have it with me as I always refer to it as my baby.Feedback
The only advice would be from what I learnt from one of my latest images, Black & colour, put the iso as low as possible, f stop as high, mine goes to f8 and shutter speed till you can just about see the subject. You can then post edit to bring out the subject and keep the background black.
