Bison are such powerful creatures, especially when viewed in person from 50 yards away. The above picture was taken near the Cunningham cabin in Grand Tetons National Park, where a smaller herd of bison were busy filling up on lunch. I was very careful to stay a safe distance from these wild animals, but even then, it can be intimidating when they’re staring right at you.
