Went to shoot at a man made lake thus the old rotted tree trunks sticking out of the water. When I arrived, the fog was extremely dense and the ground slick and marshy. Positioned myself as close to the water as I could and framed up shots of a gull perched on a tree before the cold and wet shoes forced me to pack my gear and hike up a soggy hill back to my car. Moments later the sky turned from a thick fog to a strong downpour. I lucked out as this was completely unexpected. These images have not been desaturated, but rather the fog was so dense that the world was nearly colorless beyond a few feet in front of you.
