Location
This photo was taken up in Northern California in Humboldt County at Mad River Beach.Time
I remember going out with my group of friends on a weekend and exploring the beach so this photo was probably taken some time in the afternoon, maybe around 2PM?Lighting
Nothing worth noting about the lighting. Being on a beach there's almost inherent harsh lighting but up in Humboldt County there is some form of cloud cover nearly 100% of the time.Equipment
This was just my Canon Rebel t3i with my stock 18-55mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I've never been on a non populated beach before. There wasn't a soul around aside from myself and my five friends. Along with that, a very thin layer of water sits on the sand pretty consistently all day creating that wonderful reflection that gives me the feeling of walking on water. (which isn't particularly profound as we all walk on water when we're at the beach.Editing
I probably should have done some post editing but I didn't do anything to this photo. It's exactly as it was taken. In my camera bag
I usually have my camera (Canon t3i), my stock lenses (18-55mm and 55-200mm), some lens cleaning gear and memory cards.Feedback
Really just be open and receptive to the world around you, though to be fair, this photo isn't that difficult to capture. Next time you find yourself at the beach, see if you can time it right, although some beaches it will definitely prove a challenge.
