Location
This photo was shot in a pond on the outskirts of Nellore city in the state of Andhra Pradesh in IndiaTime
At dusk. The sun almost about to fade.Lighting
Even fading sunlight persisted on the subject.I could attain the required soft tone by choosing the appropriate manual exposure ,by using the CPL filter and selecting ISO 100.Most of the time I choose manual exposure settings and only manual focus.Equipment
Camera : Nikon D5100 ,Lens : 70 - 300mm Nikkor F/4-5.6 G; Focus : Manual : Exposure Manual : Lens Aperture F/5.6 ,Shutter : 1/1600s ,ISO 100 I also used a CPL filter.Inspiration
I was in search of locations to shoot pelicans.Normally pelicans are visble during winter. The season was almost diminishing winter. There is a pelican sanctuary in my district.I travel during the season to shoot.I love photographing birds.Editing
Using Nikon View NX2 I normally perform the basic corrections if any for the RAW picture and also carry out minimal post processing corrections using Photoshop.I carried very little post processing for the photo under the present subject. In my camera bag
NIKON DSLR D5100 With 18 - 55mm,F/3.5-5.6 VR Lens,Nikkor 70 - 300mm F/4-5.6 Zoom lens with only Manual Focus, Nikkor F/1.8D Prime lens with manual focus, UV,CPL,DIGITAL Filters, Macrolens kit,Teleconverters, Lens cleaning Kit etc.Feedback
Iam still long way to go in order to advice others. No doubt I started photography during film days 35 years ago.
