Location
I took this photograph on a road trip around the Lake District. We were driving to hike up Scaffel Pike, when we saw this beautiful lake, Loweswater, so we stopped off to explore.Time
It was pretty early in the morning, around 8am, the water was so still, there were no people or cars around, it was simple bliss.Lighting
I really wanted to capture the stillness of the water, and the best way I could do this was to compose the image to show the mirror image reflection of the mountains and trees in the lake itself.Equipment
This was shot on my favourite Canon 5D Mark iii, using 24-70mm lens.Inspiration
The stillness of the water really inspired me, I really wanted to get that peaceful and magical atmosphere caught on camera. It was really one of those unforgettable moments, which feel extremely bizarre - as if you can't believe the wonders in front of your eyes, so I felt compelled to document this moment.Editing

Let nature inspire you, I always aim to capture what I see, as simply as I can. Nature does not need magic touches, it already is magic!
