This photo was taken just outside of our lodge in McCarthy, Alaska. Since it was summer, sunset was in the middle of the night.Time
This photo was taken at 11pm or so. Because of how far north Alaska is, the sun is out much later in the summer.Lighting
Golden hour is one of my favorite times to capture photos! The lighting is really great and reflects off of water beautifully!Equipment

I thought that this was a nice landscape and I wanted to remember McCarthy, which was one of my favorite spots on the trip.Editing

Normally I carry a Nikon d500 and like 7 or so of my lenses. I’ll also include a bendy tripod and a regular tripod sometimes and an ND filter. And of course extra batteries.Feedback
I recommend going out and shooting during golden hour if it’s possible. Don’t be afraid to take a lot of pictures. The more often you shoot the better you will become, and the better your chances of coming up with some great photos!
