Behind The Lens

Location

I took this in my backyard. I am a self taught photographer and each shot I take I look to see what can I do to make the next one better.

Time

This is taken on a Saturday afternoon, one winter. I had my camera set up on my tripod so i could be ready for a good shot. I have my feeders set so I can see them out my living room and kitchen windows.

Lighting

Lighting that day way crazy. It looked like a snow storm could be headed in.

Equipment

Nikon D5500, 55-200MM telephoto lens. Can’t remember the F stop.

Inspiration

I am always looking to photograph birds, any change I get. I love the colors of them and how much fun are they watch and just a treat to have them come to my yard.

Editing

Just a little tweak of the lighting.

In my camera bag

Nikon D550; Telephoto 55-200mm, 55 mm, macro lens, wide angle lens cleaning kits etc.

Feedback

Dawn and dust are the best times to take photos. Take note of your angles and taking in different spot and heights.
