St Magnus Cathedral - Britain’s most northerly Cathedral known as the 'Light in the North' was founded in 1137 by the Viking, Earl Rognvald, in honour of his uncle St Magnus.
I love this cathedral, inside there is a lovely calm quiet atmosphere with lots of local history artifacts including the memorial of the explorer John Rae. The cathedral is still a place of worship and a popular wedding venue for local folks.
