Travelling by camper through Greece last summer, Meteora was one of the most beautiful experiences. By wind- and water erosion ages long, immense natural sandstone "pillars"-rocks are arisen. From the 9th century hermits lived there and later monks which build cloisters high on these rocks to be close to God. Nowadays there are 6 cloisters left and monks live there. On this picture you can see visitors waiting early in the morning to make a short look inside. It is very impressive to be in this landscape...
