Deep hole is on the Myakka River in Sarasota, FL. Alligators tend to congregate there this time of year to stay warm in Florida's cooler months. After kayaking a couple of hours, we came to this spot. We counted well over 100 gators that day. Here is one of those gators along with a great blue heron who didn't seem to mind all the big gators around.
