Behind The Lens
Location
I took this picture from the swing bridge over the River Tyne. I like to take long walks around Newcastle and Gateshead and look for something different or eye-catching.Time
It was just after I had finished college around 3pm at the end of a busy week, I looked up and say the sunlight peaking through the legs of the high level bridge.Lighting
I wanted the image to have that bright summer feeling.Equipment
Coming from college all I had to hand was my Fujifilm x-t20 and the 16-55mm kit lens.Inspiration
The architecture of Newcastle-upon-Tyne inspires me everyday, it's just a beautiful city with a rich history.Editing
I am an avid user of lightroom, developing in RAW I reduced the brightness from the sunlight and brought the colour out from the walkway and buildings. In my camera bag
I always have my camera no matter what, with a mini tripod and an old Helios 44-2m lens with adapter.Feedback
Take a walk around your closest city and just look for the potential in everything. An object/building that's been photographed thousands of times can always bring up new surprises.
