This was the first time I saw a Bison in person during my road trip through South Dakota. I didn't realize exactly how big these beautiful animals were until I was looking at only a short distance away from me through my car window. He didn't seem to mind me being pulled over to the side of the road taking pictures of him. Instead he just continued to enjoy his morning grazing while slowly meandering along the river.
